One trend is the growing emphasis on corporate social responsibility. Additionally, the increasing use of market-based instruments, such as cap-and-trade programs, to address air pollution is another trend driving the demand for professionals with expertise in air quality economics. HOST: That's interesting. Now, what are some challenges faced in the field or while learning/teaching this subject? GUEST: One challenge is the interdisciplinary nature of the field.
