There's growing emphasis on co-creation and co-production of knowledge, where researchers and community members work together as equal partners throughout the entire research process. HOST: Interesting. And what would you say are some challenges faced in this area of research? GUEST: One major challenge is ensuring genuine participation from all community members, especially those who are often marginalized or underrepresented. Another challenge is balancing the needs and interests of various stakeholders. HOST: Those are important considerations. Looking ahead, where do you see the future of community-based participatory research going? GUEST: I believe we'll continue to see more interdisciplinary collaborations, as well as increased use of technology to facilitate engagement and data collection. It's an exciting time for the field!
