Welcome, Jane! GUEST: Thanks for having me, excited to be here! HOST: So, Jane, can you share a bit about your personal experiences and insights related to electric vehicle policy development? GUEST: Absolutely! I've spent over a decade working in environmental policy, and I've seen the growing need for experts who can develop effective EV policies that balance sustainability, affordability, and industry growth. HOST: That's fascinating! What current industry trends are most relevant to your course? GUEST: Great question. We're seeing an increased focus on equitable access to EV charging infrastructure, integration of renewable energy sources, and creative market incentives to drive consumer adoption. HOST: Those sound like critical components of a successful EV policy. Now, what challenges have you faced in this field or while teaching this subject? GUEST: Staying up-to-date with rapidly evolving technology and policy changes can be challenging. Additionally, helping students grasp the complex interplay between energy policy, environmental regulations, and consumer behavior requires a comprehensive and engaging approach. HOST: I can imagine! Lastly, where do you see the future of electric vehicle policy development heading?
